Recipe Tips

You can make this guacamole as chunky or as smooth as you like. For a chunkier guac, lightly break up the avocado with a fork and chop the shallot and tomato in larger chunks. Mashing the avocado and finely dicing the shallot and tomato will produce a smoother texture.

How to Store Classic Guacamole

Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.

Here’s a tip to keep the guac from browning on top. Place the guac in a container and before you place the lid on it squeeze lemon or lime juice over the top and then press cling wrap down over it, sealing any air that might get in. Then place the air tight lid onto the container.
