Mason Jar Sippy Cup Diy
Today I’m sharing an easy DIY that takes less than an hour to create with items you probably have lying around the house. It’s…drum roll…a Mason Jar Sippy Cup DIY! Personally I like to drink out of a straw because I will spill on myself otherwise - guaranteed! Anyone with me?
Of course I had to make mine look cute, so I painted it! The paint also helps to soften the rough edge where the hole was drilled into the metal.
If you paint yours, I highly recommend using a coat or two of acrylic sealer like this one. It will keep the paint from peeling when you need to wash it. Also, I don’t paint the inside of the the lid and I hand wash it. This will help it last longer as well.
And if making useful household items cute is your thing too, you might also like Trash Can Makeover with Caning.

Directions
Step One - Mark the center of your mason jar lid.
Step Two - Place the lid on a piece of scrap wood and clamp it in place. Use your power drill to drill a hole through the lid on the center mark.
Step Three - Sand the raw edge of the metal where you drilled the hole until it feels soft to touch, and be careful not to cut yourself on it in the process!
