Shaken Vanilla Iced Tea Latte

Shaken Vanilla Iced Tea Latte

Today I’m sharing how to make a shaken vanilla iced tea latte in just two simple steps.

I’m not a huge caffeine drinker and most cafes don’t offer a decaffeinated latte option. At home, I can use decaffeinated black tea to customize my latte. This iced vanilla tea latte has rich flavors of vanilla and brown sugar, and because it’s shaken, I’ve been told it tastes similar to vanilla ice cream! What a treat!

Ingredients

Sun Tea - Using sun tea is a quick and easy way to make an iced tea latte because the tea is already cold!

Vanilla - I like to use pure vanilla extract aged in bourbon barrels. My favorite is this one from trader joe’s.

Brown Sugar Simple Syrup - This richly flavored syrup helps to bring out the vanilla flavor. I make my own but you can also find similar ones pre-made. If you don’t have any on hand, regular simple syrup will work just fine.

2 oz milk or dairy free milk beverage

1/2 oz Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

1/8 tsp pure vanilla extract

Cup of Ice

Directions

Step One - Add sun tea, milk or dairy free beverage, brown sugar simple syrup, pure vanilla extract, and ice to a shaker. Pop the lid on tight and shake for 10 seconds.

Step Two - Fill a glass with ice. Pour the tea mixture into the glass. Enjoy!

I scheduled some hygge time to enjoy my latte on the couch with a good book.

Happy Monday! I hope you find some time this week to relax with a good latte!
