I love a good nut mix, so I thought I’d share this mix I’ve been making for years.
I love giving and receiving homemade gifts during the holiday season, especially when they are edible. This Candied pecan nut mix is a great gift idea. To gift it, I often divide the mix into mason jars and then tie bows around them with ribbon or fabric, or pop it into a single container and bring it to a party to share. It’s very versatile.
To enjoy this mix at home, try adding it to plain yogurt or a market salad. I love to pair it with sweet potato on a fresh kale salad. I also love having nuts around for a quick snack. My normal routine is Trader Joe’s rainbow trail mix (I’m addicted) but I like to spice it up a little bit during fall and switch to something more festive for the holidays. This mix is so good, I can’t stop adding it to everything.I hope you like it too!
Candied Pecan Nut Mix Recipe Variations
Want something more festive for the holidays? Try adding 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice mix to the maple syrup mixture before you bake the mix.
I think this would also work well with a variety of nuts - try adding blanched almonds or cashews. You have my permission to experiment with any nut you favor ;)
