Cinnamon Simple Syrup
There are so many ways you can use cinnamon simple syrup. It tastes delicious in coffee, drizzled over plain yogurt, or added to your favorite cocktail.
I love to use it in my Zombie Cocktail recipe (I can’t stop making these!) and my Christmas Margarita recipe. Let me know in the comments below if there is a special recipe you like to use it in!
How to make Cinnamon Simple Syrup
Ingredients
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Water
8 Cinnamon Sticks
Directions
Step One - Place sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a pan and bring to a simmer on medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved, about three minutes.
Step Two - Once sugar is dissolved, simmer for about five minutes longer, then strain the syrup into a mason jar using a mesh strainer. Dispose of the remaining cinnamon sticks. Let the strained syrup cool and then place the mason jar lid on tight and store in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Have a great week!
